Pastor Andrea Myers

has served as pastor of St. Stephen since February 2022. Pastor Andrea is passionate about nurturing healthy faith communities where members of all ages can grow in faith and service. She trusts wholeheartedly that God shows up in the church and through its people to “accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine” (Eph 3:20). Pastor Andrea grew up in Northern Virginia, and attended the College of William & Mary (B.S.) and Wartburg Theological Seminary (MDiv). A gifted communicator and spiritual leader, she is a Backstory Preaching Mentor and leads workshops on Emotional Intelligence for faith leaders. She’s married to Pastor Ronald Myers. Her ideal vacation is traveling to a new place where she can learn, eat, and visit a local yarn shop for some knitting inspiration.

Pastor Chris Lang

has served as visitation pastor of St Stephen since October of 2021. She has been a part of the St Stephen family since she joined with her family in 1984. Pastor Chris attended Luther Seminary, St. Paul, in 2003, and was ordained at St Stephen in 2007. She served at EagleGrove/Thor/Vincent, Iowa, and then at Graettinger/Wallingford, Iowa for nearly 11 years. Returning to Urbandale after retiring in 2021, she is excited to be back at St. Stephen. She believes that church is more than Sunday morning — it’s every day loving God and loving neighbors.

Kris Shay

has directed the handbell choir at St. Stephen for 11 years. Her earliest memories of church center around the music—listening to her mother play the pipe organ, or learning Christmas songs in Norwegian in choir.  Kris grew up in Rochester, NY, Madison, WI, and Iowa City in a family who was always singing or playing something.  She attended Augustana College in Rock Island and the Univ. of Iowa Dental School, and she has practiced dentistry for 37 years in Urbandale.

Jane Cunningham

is the Communications Manager at St. Stephen and works remotely from North Carolina. She began her career as a copy writer for the Boat Owners Association and then began doing page layout and graphic design projects for a variety of churches, schools and non-profits including Tulane University, the University of New Orleans, the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina and several churches in North Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her four adult children and her cats and dogs, as well as hiking, tennis, and pickleball.
